16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, it is appropriate that we should honor those citizens who have performed |
---|
17 | 17 | | with uncommon devotion and enthusiasm throughout their years of industry; and |
---|
18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Randy Stamps is one such estimable person, who served with distinction as |
---|
19 | 19 | | the Executive Director of the Tennessee State Employees Association (TSEA) for seven years |
---|
20 | 20 | | and took his much-deserved retirement in 2023; and |
---|
21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Stamps began his illustrious career with TSEA in 2014, serving as |
---|
22 | 22 | | Director of Government Affairs for the organization, a post he held until 2016, when he was |
---|
23 | 23 | | named Executive Director; and |
---|
24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, prior to his time with TSEA, Randy Stamps served as policy and research |
---|
25 | 25 | | counsel for the Tennessee House of Representatives and enjoyed a tenure as political director |
---|
26 | 26 | | for the Tennessee Republican Party from 2003 to 2009; and |
---|
27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Stamps rendered sterling service as an elected official, first with the |
---|
28 | 28 | | Sumner County school board and later as a member of the Tennessee House of |
---|
29 | 29 | | Representatives, proudly representing the 45 |
---|

31 | 31 | | District from 1988 to 1998; and |

32 | 32 | | WHEREAS, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government Public Administration |

33 | 33 | | from Lipscomb University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Pepperdine University; |

35 | 35 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Stamps holds his faith, family, and friends as the most important parts |

36 | 36 | | of his life, followed closely by his deep passion for University of Tennessee sports and politics; |

38 | 38 | | WHEREAS, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Mr. Stamps enjoys the love |

48 | 48 | | WHEREAS, throughout his estimable career, Randy Stamps demonstrated the utmost |

49 | 49 | | professionalism, ability, and integrity, winning the unbridled respect and admiration of his |

50 | 50 | | colleagues and the members of the Tennessee State Employees Association; now, therefore, |

51 | 51 | | BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH |

52 | 52 | | GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE HOUSE OF |

53 | 53 | | REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, that we extend to Randy Stamps our heartfelt wishes for |

54 | 54 | | a happy and fulfilling retirement and every continued success in his future endeavors. |
