1212 A RESOLUTION to honor Judith Clerjeune in celebration of
1313 Women's Day on the Hill.

1515 WHEREAS, Women's Day on the Hill is a time to honor the achievements of those
1616 Tennessee women who have paved the way for every person to have the opportunity to pursue
1717 the American dream; and
1818 WHEREAS, the Volunteer State is proud to be the home of the awe-inspiring Judith
1919 Clerjeune, who serves as the Advocacy Director for the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee
2020 Rights Coalition (TIRRC) and TIRRC Votes, leading the organization's policy priorities and
2121 campaign initiatives and working closely with organizers to advance strategic campaigns at
2222 national, state, and local levels that directly impact TIRRC's membership and immigrant
2323 communities; and
2424 WHEREAS, before joining TIRRC, Ms. Clerjeune worked at the Healing Trust
2525 Foundation and the Jean Crowe Advocacy Center and as a domestic violence specialist at the
2626 YWCA of Nashville and Middle Tennessee; and
2727 WHEREAS, she has further served her community as a member of the steering
2828 committee of Healthy and Free Tennessee; and
2929 WHEREAS, in saluting Ms. Clerjeune on this special occasion, let us remember that
3030 when women succeed, America succeeds, as does Tennessee; now, therefore,
3131 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH
3232 GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, that we hereby honor and commend
3333 Judith Clerjeune on her many contributions to the State of Tennessee as we celebrate Women's
3434 Day on the Hill.

3939 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared
