| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, it is fitting that we should salute those citizens who, through their |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | remarkable efforts, have distinguished themselves as community leaders of whom we can all be |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | proud; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, one such estimable individual is Byron Conaway of Savannah, who has |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | been inducted into the Tennessee Aviation Hall of Fame, a testament to the important role he |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | has played in the history and advancement of aviation in Tennessee; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, born and raised in Adamsville, Byron Conaway is a lifelong aviation |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | enthusiast and pilot, and he is the proud owner and operator of the Sibley Aviation Museum at |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | the Robert Sibley Airport in Selmer; and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Conaway uses the museum to reach many youth in the area and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | introduce them to aviation; in addition to educating them on this important and most interesting |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | topic, he has no doubt influenced the life paths of countless young Tennesseans; and |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | WHEREAS, he has also served his community as a philanthropist, supporting veterans |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | and underprivileged citizens in West Tennessee; and |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | WHEREAS, the success of this State, the strength of our communities, and the overall |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | vitality of American society depend, in great measure, upon the dedication of people such as |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | Byron Conaway, who use their considerable talents and resources to serve others and who |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | should be specially recognized for their public and community service; now, therefore, |

| 34 | 34 | | BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH |
