| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, it is fitting that we should pause to specially recognize those outstanding |

| 17 | 17 | | citizens who have devoted their careers to providing the highest-quality education for |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Tennessee's students; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Cheryl Bowman is one such estimable administrator, who has |

| 20 | 20 | | distinguished herself as a professional of the greatest dedication, ability, and integrity; and |

| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, the principal of Shwab Elementary School, Dr. Bowman was recently |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | named a finalist for Principal of the Year by Metro Nashville Public Schools, a most befitting |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | honor that recognizes the positive influence she has on so many young lives; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Cheryl Bowman is an extremely talented and compassionate |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | administrator who works assiduously to motivate her students, teachers, and staff to reach their |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | full potential as scholars, professionals, and citizens; and |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Bowman serves as an inspiration to her faculty and staff, and her |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | friendship and counsel are highly valued by those who are fortunate to know her; and |

| 29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Cheryl Bowman truly epitomizes the dedicated principal who is wholly |

| 30 | 30 | | committed to the highest ideals of public service and quality education for all, and she should be |
