| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, it is fitting that we should pause to specially recognize those outstanding |

| 17 | 17 | | citizens who have devoted their careers to providing the highest-quality education for |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Tennessee's students; and |

| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Tonya Dennis is one such estimable administrator, who has |

| 20 | 20 | | distinguished herself as a professional of the greatest dedication, ability, and integrity; and |

| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, the principal of Haynes Middle School, Dr. Dennis was recently named a |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | finalist for Principal of the Year by Metro Nashville Public Schools, a most befitting honor that |

| 23 | 23 | | recognizes the positive influence she has on so many young lives; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Tonya Dennis is an extremely talented and compassionate administrator |

| 25 | 25 | | who works assiduously to motivate her students, teachers, and staff to reach their full potential |

| 26 | 26 | | as scholars, professionals, and citizens; and |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Dennis serves as an inspiration to her faculty and staff, and her |

| 28 | 28 | | friendship and counsel are highly valued by those who are fortunate to know her; and |

| 29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Tonya Dennis truly epitomizes the dedicated principal who is wholly |
