| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, it is fitting that we should pause to specially recognize those outstanding |

| 18 | 18 | | citizens who have devoted their careers to providing the highest-quality education for |

| 19 | 19 | | Tennessee's students; and |

| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Angela McShepard-Ray is one such estimable administrator, who has |

| 21 | 21 | | distinguished herself as a professional of the greatest dedication, ability, and integrity; and |

| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, the principal of Martin Luther King, Jr. Academic Magnet High School, Dr. |

| 23 | 23 | | McShepard-Ray was recently named a finalist for Principal of the Year by Metro Nashville |

| 24 | 24 | | Public Schools, a most befitting honor that recognizes the positive influence she has on so |

| 25 | 25 | | many young lives; and |

| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Angela McShepard-Ray is an extremely talented and compassionate |

| 27 | 27 | | administrator who works assiduously to motivate her students, teachers, and staff to reach their |

| 28 | 28 | | full potential as scholars, professionals, and citizens; and |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, Dr. McShepard-Ray serves as an inspiration to her faculty and staff, and |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | her friendship and counsel are highly valued by those who are fortunate to know her; and |

| 31 | 31 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Angela McShepard-Ray truly epitomizes the dedicated principal who is |
