16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this legislative body give special recognition |
---|
17 | 17 | | to those individuals who have achieved significant milestones in their careers; and |
---|
18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Justin Coleman is one such individual, who was recently selected by the |
---|
19 | 19 | | Town of Selmer Board of Mayor and Aldermen to serve as director of the Selmer Utility Division; |
---|
20 | 20 | | and |
---|
21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, the director of the Selmer Utility Division is responsible for overseeing the |
---|
22 | 22 | | daily operations of the gas, water, and sewer departments and ensuring that these services are |
---|
23 | 23 | | delivered efficiently, safely, and reliably to over 8,000 customers in the community; and |
---|
24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Coleman has served the Selmer Utility Division with acumen and |
---|
25 | 25 | | alacrity for twenty years, having initially worked as a water crewman in the water department for |
---|
26 | 26 | | five years before transitioning to a role as a gas crewman in the natural gas department in 2010; |
---|
27 | 27 | | and |
---|
28 | 28 | | WHEREAS, in 2022, Justin Coleman was promoted to the role of gas supervisor after |
---|
29 | 29 | | twelve years in the gas department and served in that position for the past three years, earning |
---|
30 | 30 | | the respect and admiration of his colleagues and the residents of Selmer; and |
---|
31 | 31 | | WHEREAS, in his new position, Mr. Coleman hopes to accomplish several key |
---|
32 | 32 | | objectives, including the enhancement of service reliability, infrastructural improvements, |
---|
33 | 33 | | financial stewardship, enhancement of crisis preparedness, and communication with the |
---|
34 | 34 | | department's community of customers; and |
---|
35 | 35 | | WHEREAS, his professional accomplishments aside, Mr. Coleman is most thankful for |
---|
36 | 36 | | the love and support of his wife, Amber, and their three sons, Matthew, Jayden, and John Luke; |
---|
