1212 A RESOLUTION to honor the students of New Prospect
1313 Elementary School on their recent success at
1414 the Middle Schools SkillsUSA competition.

1616 WHEREAS, it is fitting that we recognize those industrious, talented students of
1717 Tennessee who bring pride and honor to our State; and
1818 WHEREAS, such exemplary students are Adalyn Stutts, Aubree Bosheers, Regan
1919 Jones, Aiden Daughtry, Savannah Owens, Scarlet Jones, Kutler Tinin, Graham May, Ace
2020 Daughtry, Amberlin Mitchell, Will Dickson, Kenslie Dugger, and Kennedy Chapman of New
2121 Prospect Elementary School, who recently participated in the Middle Schools SkillsUSA
2222 competition at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology in Smyrna; and
2323 WHEREAS, SkillsUSA is a national nonprofit partnership of students, instructors, and
2424 more than 650 corporations, trade associations, businesses, and labor unions that works to
2525 ensure that America has the skilled workforce it needs to stay competitive; founded in 1965 and
2626 endorsed by the United States Department of Education, the association serves more than
2727 400,000 students and instructors each year in middle schools, high schools, and colleges,
2828 focusing on 130 trade, technical, and skilled-service occupations; and
2929 WHEREAS, the New Prospect students who received gold medals were Adalyn Stutts
3030 and Aubree Bosheers in the Community Service category and Regan Jones and Aiden
3131 Daughtry in the Urban Search and Rescue category; and
3232 WHEREAS, New Prospect student Savannah Owens won the silver medal in the T-Shirt
3333 Design category, and Scarlet Jones, Kutler Tinin, and Graham May won the silver medal in the
3434 Engineering category; and

3939 WHEREAS, bronze medals were earned by Ace Daughtry, Amberlin Mitchell, and Will
4040 Dickson in the Engineering category and Kenslie Dugger in the Pin Design category; and
4141 WHEREAS, New Prospect student Kennedy Chapman also was recognized for an
4242 outstanding CPR demonstration, which showcased essential life-saving skills; and
4343 WHEREAS, the display of aptitude and ambition by these young students in competition
4444 surely bodes well for their future success, and their dedication to excellence is clearly deserving
4545 of our respect, admiration, and commendation; now, therefore,
4646 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH
4747 GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, that we commend and congratulate
4848 the students of New Prospect Elementary School on their success at the Middle Schools
4949 SkillsUSA competition, extending our best wishes for much continued success in all their future
5050 endeavors.
5151 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared
