9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 153.133, Family Code, is amended by | |
11 | 11 | adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: | |
12 | 12 | (c) Notwithstanding Subsection (a)(1), the court shall | |
13 | 13 | render an order adopting the provisions of a written agreed | |
14 | 14 | parenting plan appointing the parents as joint managing | |
15 | 15 | conservators if the parenting plan: | |
16 | 16 | (1) meets all the requirements of Subsections (a)(2) | |
17 | 17 | through (6); and | |
18 | 18 | (2) provides that the child's primary residence shall | |
19 | 19 | be within a specified geographic area. | |
20 | 20 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
