| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 5.201, Business Organizations Code, is | |
| 11 | 11 | amended by adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (d) If the registered agent is a domestic entity or foreign | |
| 13 | 13 | entity that is also required to appoint a registered agent, process | |
| 14 | 14 | may be served by serving an agent or clerk at the registered office | |
| 15 | 15 | of the registered agent. | |
| 16 | 16 | SECTION 2. Section 5.201(d), Business Organizations Code, | |
| 17 | 17 | as added by this Act, applies to all process served on or after the | |
| 18 | 18 | effective date of this Act, without regard to whether the process | |
| 19 | 19 | was issued before, on, or after that date. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
