9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 39.0234, Education Code, is amended by | |
11 | 11 | adding Subsection (f) to read as follows: | |
12 | 12 | (f) Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, | |
13 | 13 | the agency may not, before September 1, 2015, require a school | |
14 | 14 | district to administer to students by computer an assessment | |
15 | 15 | instrument required by Section 39.023. This section expires | |
16 | 16 | January 1, 2016. | |
17 | 17 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
18 | 18 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
19 | 19 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
20 | 20 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
21 | 21 | Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
