| 7 | 7 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 8 | 8 | SECTION 1. Section 33.204(b), Natural Resources Code, is | |
| 9 | 9 | amended to read as follows: | |
| 10 | 10 | 33.204. Administration of Coastal Management Program. (a) (No | |
| 11 | 11 | Change). | |
| 12 | 12 | (b) The council shall meet once each calendar quarter | |
| 13 | 13 | twice each calendar year as necessary to conduct the business of the | |
| 14 | 14 | council and shall set aside time at each meeting for public comment | |
| 15 | 15 | on any issue under the jurisdiction of the council. The | |
| 16 | 16 | commissioner is chair of the council. The chair or any three | |
| 17 | 17 | members of the council may convene special meetings at othersuch | |
| 18 | 18 | times and places as they may determine necessary and appropriate. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
