A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to certain standardized assessment instruments used by
school districts.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 29.056, Education Code, is amended by
adding Subsection (i) to read as follows:
(i) The commissioner may adopt rules for the administration
of or computation of norms for an agency-approved, locally adopted,
norm-referenced language proficiency test required or used under
this section.
SECTION 2. Section 39.032, Education Code, is repealed.
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
