The bill would amend Section 46.15(b) of the Penal Code and Section 411.205(a) of the Government Code to permit the use or display of an expired license to carry a concealed handgun under certain circumstances. The Department of Public Safety indicates that any costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within its current resources.
