8 | 8 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
9 | 9 | SECTION 1. Section 7.067(b), Water Code, is amended to read | |
10 | 10 | as follows: | |
11 | 11 | (b) In this section, "supplemental environmental project" | |
12 | 12 | means a project that prevents pollution, reduces the amount of | |
13 | 13 | pollutants reaching the environment, enhances the quality of the | |
14 | 14 | environment, [or] contributes to public awareness of environmental | |
15 | 15 | matters, or provides free screenings for the early detection of | |
16 | 16 | breast or prostate cancer. | |
17 | 17 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
18 | 18 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
19 | 19 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
20 | 20 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
21 | 21 | Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
