A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the powers and duties of the Montgomery County Hospital
District.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 5, Chapter 258, Acts of the 65th
Legislature, Regular Session, 1977, is amended by adding Subsection
(c) to read as follows:
(c) In addition to the powers otherwise provided by this
Act, the district may exercise any power granted to a county or a
public hospital by Sections 61.035, 61.057, 61.058, and 61.059,
Health and Safety Code, as those sections exist on September 30,
2009, including the power to require a person to comply with a
corresponding duty.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
