| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 13, Parks and Wildlife | |
| 11 | 11 | Code, is amended by adding Section 13.0186 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 13.0186. PARK FEE WAIVER FOR PEACE OFFICERS. The | |
| 13 | 13 | department shall waive the state park entrance fee and vehicle | |
| 14 | 14 | entrance fee for any person who is an active or retired peace | |
| 15 | 15 | officer, as defined by Article 2.12, Code of Criminal Procedure, on | |
| 16 | 16 | presentation of an identification card that identifies the | |
| 17 | 17 | individual as an active or retired peace officer. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
