66 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
77 SECTION 1. Subchapter E, Chapter 662, Government Code, is
88 amended by adding Section 662.154 to read as follows:
99 Sec. 662.154. TEXAS NATIVE PLANT WEEK. (a) The third full
1010 week in October is Texas Native Plant Week to celebrate the native
1111 plants of Texas.
1212 (b) Texas Native Plant Week may be regularly observed in
1313 public schools and other places with programs to appreciate,
1414 explore, and study Texas native plants.
1515 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
