8 | 8 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
9 | 9 | SECTION 1. Chapter 30, Civil Practice and Remedies Code, is | |
10 | 10 | amended by adding Section 30.018 to read as follows: | |
11 | 11 | Sec. 30.018. COURT CLERK'S EXECUTION DOCKET. (a) The clerk | |
12 | 12 | of a court who is required to enter information into an execution | |
13 | 13 | docket under the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure or other law may | |
14 | 14 | enter and maintain the information in an electronic format that | |
15 | 15 | allows the information to be retrieved on the same basis as | |
16 | 16 | information would be retrieved manually using an index or | |
17 | 17 | cross-index to the docket that is otherwise required by law. | |
18 | 18 | (b) Notwithstanding Section 22.004, Government Code, the | |
19 | 19 | supreme court may not amend or adopt rules in conflict with this | |
20 | 20 | section. | |
21 | 21 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
