O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2314 by Gattis (Relating to the designation of the Texas Department of Transportation as the contracting agent for certain airports.), As Engrossed    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Transportation Code to authorize an owner of an eligible airport to designate the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) as its agent in contracting for and supervising the planning, acquiring, constructing, improving, equipping, maintaining, or operating of an airport or air navigation facility. Based on the analysis of TxDOT, it is assumed any costs or duties associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
