55 relating to the political activities of a person employed by a
66 county elections administrator.
77 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
88 SECTION 1. Section 31.039, Election Code, is amended by
99 amending Subsection (f) and adding Subsection (g) to read as
1010 follows:
1111 (f) Except as provided by Subsection (g), a [A] person
1212 employed on a full-time basis by the administrator's office is
1313 subject to Section 31.035 in the same manner as the administrator.
1414 [This subsection applies only to counties with a population of one
1515 million or more that have an election administrator.]
1616 (g) Section 31.035(b) does not apply to a person employed on
1717 a full-time basis by the administrator's office in a county with a
1818 population of one million or less that has an election
1919 administrator.
2020 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
