| 9 | 9 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 10 | 10 | | SECTION 1. Sections 22.201(b), (k), and (o), Government |

| 11 | 11 | | Code, are amended to read as follows: |

| 12 | 12 | | (b) The First Court of Appeals District is composed of the |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | counties of Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Galveston, Grimes, Harris, Walker, Waller, and Washington. |

| 15 | 15 | | (k) The Tenth Court of Appeals District is composed of the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | counties of Bosque, Burleson, Brazos, Coryell, Ellis, Falls, |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Freestone, Hamilton, Hill, Johnson, Leon, Limestone, Madison, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | McLennan, Navarro, Robertson, and Somervell[, and Walker]. |

| 19 | 19 | | (o) The Fourteenth Court of Appeals District is composed of |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | the counties of Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Galveston, Grimes, Harris, Walker, Waller, and Washington. |

| 22 | 22 | | SECTION 2. This Act does not affect the jurisdiction on |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | appeal of any case from a county that is transferred by this Act to a |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | different court of appeals district if the transcripts for the case |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | were filed before September 1, 2009, in the appropriate court of |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | appeals district. |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
