The bill would amend various provisions of Chapter 2301, Occupations Code, relating to the regulation of motor vehicle manufacturers and distributors by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), to include additional factors for TxDOT to consider in determining whether a license applicant has established good cause for the establishment or relocation of a dealership. Based on the analysis of TxDOT, it is assumed any costs or duties associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
