8 | 8 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
9 | 9 | SECTION 1. Section 191.028, Health and Safety Code, is | |
10 | 10 | amended by adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: | |
11 | 11 | (c) Not later than the 30th business day after the date the | |
12 | 12 | department receives an amending certificate, the department shall | |
13 | 13 | notify the individual of whether the amendment has been accepted | |
14 | 14 | for filing. | |
15 | 15 | SECTION 2. This Act applies only to amending certificates | |
16 | 16 | filed on or after the effective date of this Act. Amending | |
17 | 17 | certificates filed before the effective date of this Act are | |
18 | 18 | governed by the law in effect immediately before that date, and the | |
19 | 19 | former law is continued in effect for that purpose. | |
20 | 20 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
