77 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
88 SECTION 1. Section 263.153, Local Government Code, is
99 amended by adding Subsection (c) to read as follows:
1010 (c) A county that contracts with an auctioneer licensed
1111 under Chapter 1802, Occupations Code, who uses an Internet auction
1212 site offering online bidding through the Internet to sell surplus
1313 or salvage property under this subchapter having an estimated value
1414 of not more than $500 shall satisfy the notice requirement under
1515 this section by posting the property on the site for at least 10
1616 days unless the property is sold before the 10th day.
1717 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
1818 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
1919 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
2020 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
2121 Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
