| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 25.2141(a), Government Code, is amended | |
| 11 | 11 | to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (a) Smith County has the following statutory courts: | |
| 13 | 13 | (1) County Court at Law of Smith County; | |
| 14 | 14 | (2) County Court at Law No. 2 of Smith County; [and] | |
| 15 | 15 | (3) County Court at Law No. 3 of Smith County; and | |
| 16 | 16 | (4) County Court at Law No. 4 of Smith County. | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 2. The County Court at Law No. 4 of Smith County is | |
| 18 | 18 | created on the effective date of this Act. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
