A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the suspension of a lobbyist registration for failure
to pay child support obligations.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 305, Government Code, is
amended by adding Section 305.0052 to read as follows:
Sec. 305.0052. SUSPENSION OF REGISTRATION FOR FAILURE TO
PAY CHILD SUPPORT. A person's registration under this chapter may
be suspended under the same conditions and in the same manner as a
license is suspended under Chapter 232, Family Code.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
