9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 481.078, Government Code, is amended by | |
11 | 11 | adding Subsection (e-2) to read as follows: | |
12 | 12 | (e-2) Notwithstanding Subsection (e-1), a municipality is | |
13 | 13 | eligible to receive a grant under this section for the purpose of | |
14 | 14 | recruiting or retaining an automotive manufacturing facility. A | |
15 | 15 | particular municipality may not receive more than $50 million in | |
16 | 16 | grants under this subsection in a state fiscal year. A municipality | |
17 | 17 | may apply for a grant under this section in the same manner as a | |
18 | 18 | business entity. | |
19 | 19 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
