| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter E, Chapter 43, Parks and Wildlife | |
| 11 | 11 | Code, is amended by adding Section 43.06125 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 43.06125. BIOLOGIST'S APPROVAL FOR TRAP, TRANSPORT, | |
| 13 | 13 | AND PROCESS PERMIT. The commission shall adopt rules providing | |
| 14 | 14 | that a single approval by a biologist regarding the healthy medical | |
| 15 | 15 | condition of a group of deer covered by a trap, transport, and | |
| 16 | 16 | process permit remains in effect for that group of deer until: | |
| 17 | 17 | (1) the trap, transport, and process permit expires; | |
| 18 | 18 | or | |
| 19 | 19 | (2) all deer covered by the permit have been | |
| 20 | 20 | processed. | |
| 21 | 21 | SECTION 2. The Parks and Wildlife Commission shall adopt | |
| 22 | 22 | rules under Section 43.06125, Parks and Wildlife Code, as added by | |
| 23 | 23 | this Act, not later than January 1, 2010. | |
| 24 | 24 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
