55 relating to the per diem for members of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage

77 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
88 SECTION 1. Section 5.08, Alcoholic Beverage Code, is
99 amended to read as follows:
1010 Sec. 5.08. PER DIEM, EXPENSES. Members of the commission
1111 receive per diem as provided by the General Appropriations Act [of
1212 $10 a day,] for not more than 60 days a year, plus actual expenses,
1313 while attending commission meetings or otherwise engaged in the
1414 performance of their duties.
1515 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
1616 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
1717 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
1818 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
1919 Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
