5	5	relating to the per diem for members of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage
6	6	Commission.
7	7	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
8	8	SECTION 1. Section 5.08, Alcoholic Beverage Code, is
9	9	amended to read as follows:
10	10	Sec. 5.08. PER DIEM, EXPENSES. Members of the commission
11	11	receive per diem as provided by the General Appropriations Act [of
12	12	$10 a day,] for not more than 60 days a year, plus actual expenses,
13	13	while attending commission meetings or otherwise engaged in the
14	14	performance of their duties.
15	15	SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
16	16	a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
17	17	provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
18	18	Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
19	19	Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
