                    BILL ANALYSIS     Senate Research Center H.B. 383  By: Heflin (Seliger)  Intergovernmental Relations  5/18/2009  Engrossed     AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT   H.B. 383 amends current law relating to county bail bond board meetings in certain counties.   RULEMAKING AUTHORITY   This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency.   SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS   SECTION 1. Amends Section 1704.55, Occupations Code, by amending Subsection (b) and adding Subsection (c), as follows:   (b) Requires a county bail bond board (board), except as provided by Subsection (c), to meet at least once a month and at other times at the call of the presiding officer.   (c) Requires a board in a county with a population of less than 50,000 to meet at least once each quarter at the call of the presiding officer.   SECTION 2. Effective date: upon passage or September 1, 2009.

SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS

 

SECTION 1. Amends Section 1704.55, Occupations Code, by amending Subsection (b) and adding Subsection (c), as follows:
