| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 504.510(d), Transportation Code, is | |
| 11 | 11 | amended to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (d) This section applies only to an owner of a golf cart who | |
| 13 | 13 | resides: | |
| 14 | 14 | (1) on real property that is owned or under the control | |
| 15 | 15 | of the United States Corps of Engineers and is required by that | |
| 16 | 16 | agency to register the owner's golf cart under this chapter; and | |
| 17 | 17 | (2) in a county that borders another state and has a | |
| 18 | 18 | population of more than 110,000 but less than 140,000 [111,000]. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
