The bill would amend the Transportation Code to require the minimum change interval for a steady yellow traffic signal must be established in accordance with the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices at those intersections at which a photographic traffic monitoring system is in use. The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) would enforce the setting of a minimum change interval. The OAG indicates that any additional cost associated with implementation of the bill could be absorbed within existing state resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
