| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 707.005, Transportation Code, is amended | |
| 11 | 11 | to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 707.005. MINIMUM CHANGE INTERVAL. (a) At an | |
| 13 | 13 | intersection at which a photographic traffic monitoring system is | |
| 14 | 14 | in use, the minimum change interval for a steady yellow signal must | |
| 15 | 15 | be established in accordance with the Texas Manual on Uniform | |
| 16 | 16 | Traffic Control Devices. | |
| 17 | 17 | (b) The attorney general shall enforce this section. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
| 19 | 19 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
| 20 | 20 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
| 21 | 21 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
| 22 | 22 | Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
