5	5	relating to the issuance of specialty license plates for cancer of
6	6	unknown primary origin awareness.
7	7	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
8	8	SECTION 1. Subchapter G, Chapter 504, Transportation Code,
9	9	is amended by adding Section 504.6201 to read as follows:
10	10	Sec. 504.6201. CANCER OF UNKNOWN PRIMARY ORIGIN AWARENESS
11	11	LICENSE PLATES. (a) The department shall issue specialty license
12	12	plates to raise awareness of cancer of unknown primary origin. The
13	13	license plates must include the words "A Fine Cause for Unknown
14	14	Cancer." The department shall design the license plates in
15	15	consultation with the Orange Grove Family Career and Community
16	16	Leaders of America.
17	17	(b) After deduction of the department's administrative
18	18	costs, the remainder of the fee for issuance of the license plates
19	19	shall be deposited to the credit of the cancer prevention and
20	20	research fund established by Section 102.201, Health and Safety
21	21	Code.
22	22	SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
