The bill would impose certain policies and procedures on the boards of trustees of school districts proposing to close a campus. Local Government Impact In an affected school district, a board of trustees in proposing closure of a campus would be required to comply with certain policies and procedures prior to closure, including the mailing of notices in both English and Spanish to parents of certain affected students, requirements for public meetings, and the collection of public comments. Administrative expenses would be incurred, but are not likely to be significant on a statewide basis.
