| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 8830.152, Special District Local Laws | |
| 12 | 12 | Code, is amended by adding Subsection (f) to read as follows: | |
| 13 | 13 | (f) The district by rule may establish a temporary or | |
| 14 | 14 | permanent discounted production fee rate for a municipality that | |
| 15 | 15 | adopts a water conservation plan, submits the plan to the district, | |
| 16 | 16 | and obtains the district engineer's approval of the plan. | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
| 18 | 18 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
| 19 | 19 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
| 20 | 20 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
| 21 | 21 | Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
