| 7 | 7 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 8 | 8 | | SECTION 1. Section 231.252, Local Government Code, is |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Sec. 231.252. AREAS SUBJECT TO REGULATION. This |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | subchapter applies only to the unincorporated area of counties |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | exercising the powers of a Type A municipality [Zapata County] |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | located within 25,000 feet of: |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | (1) the project boundary line for Falcon Lake; [and] |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | (2) the Rio Grande River; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | (3) tributaries and arroyos leading to Falcon Lake or |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | to the Rio Grande River. |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
