| 6 | 6 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 7 | 7 | | SECTION 1. Section 152.0211, Human Resources Code, is |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | amended by adding Subsection (i) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | (i) The board may apply for, accept, hold in trust, spend, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | and otherwise use a gift, grant, or donation of land or money or |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | other personal property from a governmental entity, corporation, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | individual, or other source for the benefit of the juvenile justice |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | system. |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
