| 5 | 5 | | relating to the preservation of a record in a proceeding in a |

| 7 | 7 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 8 | 8 | | SECTION 1. Section 30.00737, Government Code, is repealed. |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies to a |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | case that is pending or commenced in a municipal court of record in |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Austin on or after the effective date of this Act. |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
