| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 1030.052, Special District Local Laws | |
| 11 | 11 | Code, is amended to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 1030.052. NOTICE OF ELECTION. Notice [At least 35 days | |
| 13 | 13 | before the date of an election of directors, notice] of an [the] | |
| 14 | 14 | election of directors shall be published [one time] in a newspaper | |
| 15 | 15 | with general circulation in the district in accordance with Section | |
| 16 | 16 | 4.003, Election Code. | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 2. Section 1030.053, Special District Local Laws | |
| 18 | 18 | Code, is repealed. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
| 20 | 20 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
| 21 | 21 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
| 22 | 22 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
| 23 | 23 | Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
