| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code, | |
| 11 | 11 | is amended by adding Section 225.079 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 225.079. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR., FREEWAY IN HUNT | |
| 13 | 13 | COUNTY. (a) The part of Interstate Highway 30 in the corporate | |
| 14 | 14 | limits of the city of Greenville is designated as the Martin Luther | |
| 15 | 15 | King, Jr., Freeway. | |
| 16 | 16 | (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall | |
| 17 | 17 | design and construct memorial markers indicating the freeway | |
| 18 | 18 | number, the designation as the Martin Luther King, Jr., Freeway, | |
| 19 | 19 | and any other appropriate information. The department shall erect | |
| 20 | 20 | a marker at each end of the freeway and at appropriate intermediate | |
| 21 | 21 | sites along the freeway. | |
| 22 | 22 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
