 CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
 WHEREAS, Friends and family were deeply saddened by the death
 of Joe Don Minor of Austin on December 20, 2008, at the age of 77;
 and
 WHEREAS, A man with a great zest for life, Mr. Minor never
 missed an opportunity to talk Longhorn sports or to put a smile on
 the face of a loved one; he shared 56 rewarding years of marriage
 with his wife, Janice, and the couple raised two children, Landry
 and Deborah; with the passing years, they welcomed five
 grandchildren and a great-grandchild into the family; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Minor was retired from his work in sales and was
 an avid outdoorsman; known for the mischievous twinkle in his eye,
 he lived every day to the fullest, and he will be fondly remembered
 and greatly missed; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the 81st Legislature of the State of Texas
 hereby pay tribute to the life of Joe Don Minor and extend sincere
 sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, Janice; to his
 children, Landry and Deborah; to his grandchildren, Lance, Sarah,
 Jett, Cody, and Tyler; to his great-grandchild, Brandon; and to his
 other relatives and many friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives and Senate adjourn this day, they do so in memory of
 Joe Don Minor.
