5	5	WHEREAS, The conference committee report for House Bill No. 3
6	6	has been adopted by the house of representatives and the senate and
7	7	is being prepared for enrollment; and
8	8	WHEREAS, The bill contains technical and typographical
9	9	errors that should be corrected; now, therefore, be it
10	10	RESOLVED by the 81st Legislature of the State of Texas, That
11	11	the enrolling clerk of the house of representatives be instructed
12	12	to make the following corrections:
13	13	(1) On page 25, line 12, strike "39.301(b)(4)" and
14	14	substitute "39.301(c)(5)".
15	15	(2) Strike page 27, line 26, through page 28, line 3, and
16	16	substitute the following:
17	17	(n) A student who is promoted by a grade placement committee
18	18	under this section must be assigned in each subject in which the
19	19	student failed to perform satisfactorily on an assessment
20	20	instrument specified under Subsection (a) to a teacher who meets
21	21	all state and federal qualifications to teach that subject and
22	22	grade.

40	40	Subsection (b-1)(1)(A). A course approved under this subsection
41	41	must be endorsed by an institution of higher education as a course
42	42	for which the institution would award course credit or as a
43	43	prerequisite for a course for which the institution would award
44	44	course credit.

90	90	did not perform satisfactorily as described by Paragraph (A); and
91	91	(2) other factors for determining sufficient student
92	92	attainment of postsecondary readiness.
