4	4	HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
5	5	WHEREAS, Section 21.004(a), Government Code, provides: "At a
6	6	convenient time at the commencement of each regular session of the
7	7	legislature, the chief justice of the supreme court shall deliver a
8	8	written or oral state of the judiciary message evaluating the
9	9	accessibility of the courts to the citizens of the state and the
10	10	future directions and needs of the courts of the state."; now,
11	11	therefore, be it
12	12	RESOLVED by the 81st Texas Legislature, Regular Session, That
13	13	the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Texas meet
14	14	in Joint Session in the Hall of the House of Representatives for
15	15	that purpose on Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at 11 a.m.; and, be it
16	16	further
17	17	RESOLVED, That the Honorable Wallace B. Jefferson, Chief
18	18	Justice of the Supreme Court of Texas, be, and is hereby, invited to
19	19	address the Regular Session of the 81st Legislature in Joint
20	20	Session at that time.
