| 10 | 10 | Sec. 1-e-1. Notwithstanding any other law, beginning on | |
| 11 | 11 | January 1, 2014, a political subdivision of this state may not levy | |
| 12 | 12 | an ad valorem tax. | |
| 13 | 13 | SECTION 2. This proposed constitutional amendment shall be | |
| 14 | 14 | submitted to the voters at an election to be held November 3, 2009. | |
| 15 | 15 | The ballot shall be printed to permit voting for or against the | |
| 16 | 16 | proposition: "The constitutional amendment to abolish all | |
| 17 | 17 | political subdivision ad valorem taxes beginning on January 1, | |
| 18 | 18 | 2014, in order that the legislature may enact a fairer system of | |
| 19 | 19 | fully funding political subdivisions of this state." |
