44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, The Mustang Stampede western dance group, proud
66 ambassadors for J. J. Pearce High School in Richardson Independent
77 School District, is completing its second year of performing; and
88 WHEREAS, The Mustang Stampede continues the tradition of
99 excellence at J. J. Pearce High School, a high school that is
1010 recognized by Newsweek, U.S. News & World Report, and the Texas
1111 Business and Education Coalition as one of the top high schools in
1212 the great State of Texas and the United States; and
1313 WHEREAS, Thirty-six outstanding young men and women in their
1414 junior and senior years comprise the Mustang Stampede, and these
1515 members serve as role models for younger students by demonstrating
1616 discipline and a strong work ethic as dedicated dancers who spend
1717 hundreds of hours practicing dance and gymnastic throws and spins;
1818 and
1919 WHEREAS, Led by talented teacher sponsors Caroline
2020 Vanderslice and Steven Anthony, the Mustang Stampede is a popular
2121 group to perform at schools, hospitals, and community organizations
2222 throughout North Texas; now, therefore, be it
2323 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2424 Legislature hereby honor the Mustang Stampede of J. J. Pearce High
2525 School for its hard work and dedication, as well as its service to
2626 Richardson Independent School District and the State of Texas; and,
2727 be it further
2828 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2929 prepared for the school as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3030 House of Representatives.
