 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sense of loss
 felt by the family and friends of U.S. Army Sergeant Bacilio E.
 Cuellar of Odessa, who passed away on May 30, 2008, at the age of 24;
 and
 WHEREAS, Assigned to the 1st Battalion, 18th Infantry
 Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Sergeant
 Cuellar was killed in Baghdad, Iraq, when his vehicle struck an
 improvised explosive device; and
 WHEREAS, A native of the Lone Star State, "Bozzy" Cuellar was
 born in Odessa on June 23, 1982, to Lori Cuellar and Rafael Cuellar,
 Jr.; he graduated from Permian High School, where he was a member of
 the PHS ROTC, band, and drumline; and
 WHEREAS, Sergeant Cuellar was devoted to his wife, Nichole,
 and his sons, Jeremy, Cayden, and Sebastian; generous and
 compassionate, he was known for his desire to help others; and
 WHEREAS, Our state and nation are fortunate to have men and
 women whose love for their country inspires them to volunteer for
 military service, yet the tragic death of this brave young man is a
 sobering reminder of the cost of war; Sergeant Bozzy Cuellar
 embodied the highest ideals of the U.S. armed forces, and those who
 knew and loved him will forever carry him close in their hearts;
 now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of U.S. Army Sergeant
 Bacilio E. Cuellar and extend deepest sympathy to the members of his
 family: to his wife, Nichole Cuellar; to his sons, Jeremy, Cayden,
 and Sebastian Cuellar; to his parents, Rafael Cuellar, Jr., and
 Lori Cuellar; to his sister, Shauna Cuellar; to his grandparents,
 Rafael Cuellar, Sr., and Juanita Cuellar; to his great-grandmother,
 Nicolasa Diaz; and to his many other relatives and friends; and, be
 it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Army
 Sergeant Bacilio Cuellar.
