55 WHEREAS, Jack Pippen of Dallas has been accepted as an
66 honored scholar in the prestigious 2009 Junior National Young
77 Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C.; and
88 WHEREAS, The son of proud parents Patricia and John Pippen,
99 Mr. Pippen is a sixth grade student at Lakehill Preparatory School,
1010 where he was recently named an outstanding leader by his
1111 classmates; and
1212 WHEREAS, The Junior National Young Leaders Conference is
1313 designed to educate, inspire, and motivate high-achieving middle
1414 school students from across the nation; attendees learn about
1515 leadership by studying leaders of the past and by focusing on social
1616 advocacy to make a positive impact in their communities; and
1717 WHEREAS, Earning an invitation to this important conference
1818 is a reflection of this fine young Texan's significant leadership
1919 potential and academic achievement, and he may take justifiable
2020 pride in being invited to take part in this exciting learning
2121 opportunity; now, therefore, be it
2222 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2323 Legislature hereby congratulate Jack Pippen on being accepted as an
2424 honored scholar in the Junior National Young Leaders Conference and
2525 extend to him sincere best wishes for a bright future; and, be it
2626 further
2727 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2828 prepared for Mr. Pippen as an expression of high regard by the Texas
2929 House of Representatives.
