| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times and |

| 6 | 6 | | meaningful accomplishments remain to comfort the loved ones of |

| 7 | 7 | | Esther L. Garza, who passed away on February 17, 2008, at the age of |

| 8 | 8 | | 78; and |

| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Born on November 17, 1929, in Henrietta, Mrs. Garza |

| 10 | 10 | | found great joy in her treasured family; she shared many years with |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | her husband, Hector, and was devoted to her children, Hector L. |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Garza and Sylvia Collazo; she also enjoyed doting on her |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | grandchildren, Brandon, Cristina, Lauren, and Hector; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, This capable and caring woman enriched the lives of |

| 15 | 15 | | many during her journey on this earth, and her memory will be |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | forever cherished by those who were privileged to share in the |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | warmth of her love and friendship; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 19 | 19 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Esther L. Garza and |

| 20 | 20 | | extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her |

| 21 | 21 | | husband, Hector E. Garza; to her son, Hector L. Garza, and his wife, |

| 22 | 22 | | Ora; to her daughter, Sylvia Collazo, and her husband, Leandro |
